Open Arms USA is run by a small group of volunteers who work to support and bring comfort to some of the most vulnerable human beings caught-up in the world’s HIV/AIDS pandemic - infants and children.

Open Arms USA supports the work of The Open Arms Infant Home in Malawi, Africa, which relies entirely on donations.

“Love….One day at a time.”

The Open Arms Infant Home, Malawi is home to some of the most beautiful and happy-looking babies. Doctors, nurses and volunteers have reported that it is one of the happiest places they have ever been.
So it is hard to absorb the fact that around 65% of the babies carry the HIV virus through maternal transmission.

As a consequence, infant death is no stranger to the Home and will continue to be a part of regular life there.

Loving, one day at a time, is the all-important thing, so that these babies receive a full measure of love and medical care and comfort. Even though they cannot be with their birth mothers, they still know love.

In addition, many of the babies who are AIDS free are often malnourished and sick on arrival and ill-equipped to fend off a range of illnesses. Open Arms Infant Home is situated close to a mission hospital where much of the babies’ medical care, including some operations, is delivered free of charge.

The Open Arms Infant Home is generously supported by the Pillow Dreams Project - www.pillowdreamsproject.com - where dreams become reality.

Please visit their website to view the many beautiful pillows that are on sale to raise funds for deserving projects including Open Arms. Are very special thanks to Pillow Dreams Project.
